Where Liberation Begins

Summer is headed our way, and this weekend brings several celebrations to San Pedro, from the annual Pride celebration, to Father's Day, to Juneteenth there is a lot to mark, commemorate, and celebrate.

This Sunday Rev. Dave will continue our sermon series on Women of the Old Testament with two women who might just be a little more familiar, Shiphrah and Puah, do they ring a bell? No? Shiphara and Puah are the names of the midwives who attended the birth of Moses and with that simple act of defiance, made way for the Exodus of the Hebrew people from slavery of Egypt to the promised land. Rev. Dave will preach on these women and their story found in the book of Exodus.

Join us as we continue this series together.

In Faith,

Rev. Amanda

What We mean when We say All Are Welcome:

At The Garden Church we intentionally welcome all. We do this without requiring adherence to any religious belief or creed. We foster a climate of purposeful inclusion, an environment where all can feel safe, valued, cared for, and given an opportunity to form meaningful connections with the Divine and each other. We cherish the diversity of humanity, a diversity which includes differences in sex, age, race, ethnicity, and national origin, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial means, education, and political perspective.

We are also a member Congregation of the Pacific Coast Association of the Swedenborgian Church of North America
