Easter Time!

This week we join with Christians around the world in marking this most Holy week of the year in our tradition. Together we will remember Jesus' last days on this earth. From the palm processional we re-enacted this past Sunday to the night he gathered with his disciples in an upstairs room giving them bread and wind, to his death on the cross to the empty tomb on Easter morning. This week is full for us as a church and as disciples of Jesus.

This year we have a Maundy Thursday service offers a meal, communion and foot washing. The foot washing includes fresh socks for any who would like them. It will be held at 6:30pm in the garden. Good Friday service will also be at 6:30pm. This year we will gather in the garden, hear a short story written by one of our members titled "Why the Rose has Thorns," and spend time in prayer and reflection as we move through a series of stations sharing the story of Holy Week. Each station includes a visual reflection which can be colored for those who appreciate the practice of coloring, colored pencils will be provided.

Easter Sunday morning we hope to be in the garden, and remain aware of the rain the forecast. Please follow us on social media so you'll be the first to know if we need to move indoors. Our inside location for Easter (if needed) is The Grand Annex across he street from the garden (434 W. 6th St. San Pedro). This Sunday's service will include communion and a baptism. It will be a full day of celebration. Following the service we are excited to offer once again an Easter egg hunt for ages 0-10. If you plan to hunt, please bring a basket to collect eggs.

We look forward to marking this most Holy week with you all.
