A Variety of Gifts

Weather wise summer remains in full swing, but school wise fall schedules are coming back. Tomorrow we'll welcome 30 students from POALA High through out gates for their outdoor classroom experience. People are traveling less and we're starting to see more of our regulars back and around. The summer crops that went in early are starting to finish their production while the loofa, chayote and papaya are growing like crazy and their fruits are beginning to grow and ripen. This is always a lovely season in the garden.
On Sunday we're continuing our sermon series this time with a reading on the variety of gifts we have from the book of Romans. It's a good reminder that it takes many people for a community and socity to function well. Not just numerically but in terms of gifts. We are grateful every day for the gifts each of us bring to the garden from the Feed and be Fed side which includes a lot of volunteering and education and the Church side which includes prayer, care and community building.
We hope to see you Sunday as we reflect on the gifts and the body of community. In Faith,
Rev. Amanda
