We are in the midst of the Fall Sermon Series: Faith Over Fear but we took a break last Sunday to appreciate the Sun on the Autumnal Equinox. The Sun is responsible for life and we are grateful. In recent weeks we have experienced children eager to participate in liturgy. We witnessed a liturgical dancer who danced about the importance of dirt and a child who poured the water, lit the candle, rang the gong, ran to each participant with the tree of life icon and helped serve communion. We have had new committed volunteers to set up, meal time, and clean up and we are in awe of the new energy in belonging. This Sunday we will look to Acts 18:1-11 with Paul ministering at Corinth. Psalm 56:3-4 reminds us that even kings tried to balance their fear with trust and Swedenborg weighs in on natural fear vs. spiritual fear in True Christian Religion 661 and security in Divine Providence 210. Afraid these days about all that is happening in the world? Come be with us and gain strength in one another. We will explore moral courage and how to develop it!
