Cross over the Road

This Sunday we are being joined by David Johnson who we know through St. Peter's by the Presbyterian Church. David will preach for us and tell us about the Makeshift Traveler Backpack. A project in partnership with St. Peter's the Sea, and the Johnson Family Foundation.Here's a little more about David: He is Chief Philanthropist for Johnson Family Foundation. He is also ordained Minister known for his Godly passion for creating impact and change in communities using his 35-year-plus career experience in higher education technology, faith-based ministries, and stewardship.  ​


David currently serves on the boards of Testimony Ministries. This Christian-based charitable organization was founded on July 20, 2020, to provide hope and a future for those returning to society from incarceration, and The Made New Foundation. He also serves on the Executive Leadership Committee for Rafael House, the first and largest family transitional house underserved shelter in San Francisco. Before becoming Chief Philanthropist, David was the founder and CEO of Johnson ERP, LLC, working with mid-market higher education universities and colleges for over two decades.​

He also serves on the Presbyterian Church (PCUSA)  Advisory on Social Witness Policy (ASWP) and the International / National Committee for the Self-Development of People (SDOP) This group consists of individuals who are dissatisfied with poverty and oppression. It participates in empowering economically poor, oppressed, and disadvantaged people and seeks to change the structures that perpetuate poverty, oppression, and injustice.


He earned his Master of Arts in Bible Exposition with a Certificate in Theology from the Talbot School of Theology at BIOLA University in Los Angeles, California, and his Bachelor of Arts in Financial Management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California. ​

David is happily married to InaMarie Johnson, his wife of over 30 years, and a dedicated father of two adult children: Ashlee Johnson-Geisse, founder of Brown Girls Farms, and Attorney Aaron A. Johnson, Esquire. He calls Palos Verdes Peninsula in southern California and Incline Village, Nevada, in Lake Tahoe home and loves biking, kayaking, snowshoeing, and watching movies.  We hope you can join us Sunday!
