Filled with the Spirit

This weekend marks the beginning of Pride Month in San Pedro. On San Pedro members of our church will take part in the annual Pride March and Flag raising (details below). Last weekend was extra fun with the Feed and be Fed Annual fundraiser. Our garden was beautifully decorated with pale blues and bright yellow flower arrangements. Local chefs served garden inspired bites and Feed and be Fed was able to make 75% of the fundraising goal for the event. The Easter season in the church calendar is drawing to a close and on Sunday we will celebrate Pentecost. This the day in the church year that is seen as the birth of the Church, as in all churches in Christianity. We will read the familiar story from the book of Acts and celebrate together what it means to be part of a diverse community with members from every continent on the earth. The color for this particular holiday is red, if you would like to dress for the occasion, you are encouraged to do so.
