Gathering

In the garden and at the farm we do a lot of gathering. Weather it's weeds into a pile or eggs from the hens or produce when harvesting for the CSA bags or the farmer's market. Gathering. Bringing things together.

We gather for worship, we gather for meetings and we gather to eat together at the community meal where we are feeding and being fed. Tonight we'll gather for Godly Vibes being lead by Pastor Connie this month while Rev. Dave enjoys time away. The topic is forgiveness. Pastor Connie will lead a discussion focus on biblical forgiveness both personal and communal. There will be food to share. 

Our scripture passage this Sunday is from the prophet Isaiah. In chapter 56 the prophet reminds us that the Lord gathered the people back together who had been scattered. The act of gathering is something important and holy. Weather it's a task or a calling, something happens when we gather. We're gathering for work together Sunday at 3pm Worship together at 4pm and Eat together at 5pm.
