Tabernacle Basket Weaving

When in The Garden, do you notice the many baskets on the table by the blue wall? Many people use them for holding all sorts of things. Do we take them for granted and not even think that an artist made them? Did you know that most baskets are still made by hand? This Sunday we continue our summer sermon series “Created and Creative” reflecting on God’s creative energy in relation to ours through different art mediums. This Sunday we will focus on weaving, appreciate those who practice this art and listen to what Moses said in Exodus about the tabernacle. We will hear too what Swedenborg weaves together while we make a small basket and become a tabernacle of community.

With Infinite Hope,

Pastor Connie

What We mean when We say All Are Welcome:

At The Garden Church we intentionally welcome all. We do this without requiring adherence to any religious belief or creed. We foster a climate of purposeful inclusion, an environment where all can feel safe, valued, cared for, and given an opportunity to form meaningful connections with the Divine and each other. We cherish the diversity of humanity, a diversity which includes differences in sex, age, race, ethnicity, and national origin, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial means, education, and political perspective.

We are also a member Congregation of the Pacific Coast Association of the Swedenborgian Church of North America
