A Rebellious Queen

Summer time is often extra busy in the garden and this year is no exception. This past Sunday we marked Back to school with a special blessing for students and teachers. We also gave Study Bibles to two of our children who have become strong readers.

The garden has been in flux as we prepare for the instillation of a new back fence thanks to generous grants from denominational funds. These funds also allowed us to install security cameras and lights to help monitor the property in our absence.

Continuing our sermon series on women of the Hebrew Scriptures this Sunday we will spend time with Queen Vashti. Often portrayed as a villain or a woman who got what she deserved, we will take a closer look and Vashti's story and her role in the book of Esther. We hope to see you this Sunday.

In Faith,

Rev. Amanda
