It's now late summer and our garden beds are overflowing with growth. The tomatoes are slowly slowing down their production of fruit and the winter crops are sprouting in the nursery. Summertime has been full and fall promises to bring on more of the same. Next week we are looking forward to celebrating the consecration of Connie McOsker when she will formally join the staff as a Licensed Pastor. In October we will open our gates for the Annual Día de Los Muertos event in downtown San Pedro and in November Feed and be Fed will have it's annual Pumpkin Smashing event including pumpkin races. That's right--you too can race pumpkins down a custom track! Contact Peter for the 2024 pumpkin race rules.
This Sunday we are wrapping up our sermon series on the Women of Hebrew Scriptures with the stories of Naomi and Ruth. Two women who because of bad luck found themselves in poverty. Their story is ancient and the challenges they faced exist for us today. Join us as we spend time with these women and their story of struggle and success.
In Faith,
Rev. Amanda
