“In the Potter’s Hands”

As summer moves along, more and more summer crops are coming in and our volunteers are busy bees. This week the jalapeño peppers are popping off the plants, tomatoes and summer squash are headed to Friday’s farmer’s market. Tonight Theological Thursday will meet in the garden with Rev. Dave at 7pm.

Sunday we are continuing our summer sermon series “Created and Creative” reflecting on God’s creative energy and ours through different art mediums. This week's medium is clay. Clay and pottery appears throughout scripture here are a few examples:

Genesis 2:7 “then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”

Isaiah 64:8

Yet, O Lord, you are our Father;

    we are the clay, and you are our potter;

    we are all the work of your hand.

Join us as we spend time reflecting on how we know God a a potter and creator as we create with clay ourselves.

In Faith,

Rev. Amanda

What We mean when We say All Are Welcome:

At The Garden Church we intentionally welcome all. We do this without requiring adherence to any religious belief or creed. We foster a climate of purposeful inclusion, an environment where all can feel safe, valued, cared for, and given an opportunity to form meaningful connections with the Divine and each other. We cherish the diversity of humanity, a diversity which includes differences in sex, age, race, ethnicity, and national origin, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial means, education, and political perspective.
