Happy Father's Day and the start to summer! This Sunday is a celebration of all fathers, father figures, and those who have been wise guides and protectors for our physical and spiritual lives. The theme of living waters is an exploration into our spiritual heart center where we are given new opportunities to remove spiritual blockages in our body and embrace that which is vital and living. Come and join us in allowing these living spiritual waters to flow freely from the depths of our hearts!
The Lord's Prayer...translated from Aramaic directly into English.
Rather than from Aramaic to Greek to Latin to English (which most of us are used to from the King James version:
O cosmic Birther of all radiance and vibration,
soften the ground of our being and carve out a space within us where your Presence can abide.
Fill us with your creativity so that we may be empowered to bear the fruit of your mission.
Let each of our actions bear fruit in accordance with our desire.
Endow us with the wisdom to produce and share what each being needs to grow and flourish.
Untie the tangled threads of destiny that bind us, as we release others from the entanglement of past mistakes.
Do not let us be seduced by that which would divert us from our true purpose, but illuminate the opportunities of the present moment.
For you are the ground and the fruitful vision, the birth, power, and fulfillment, as all is gathered and made whole once again.
And So It Is!
John 7:32-40
Officers Are Sent to Arrest Jesus
The Pharisees heard the crowd muttering such things about him, and the chief priests and Pharisees sent temple police to arrest him. Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me. You will search for me, but you will not find me, and where I am, you cannot come.” The Jews said to one another, “Where does this man intend to go that we will not find him? Does he intend to go to the dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks? What does he mean by saying, ‘You will search for me, but you will not find me’ and ‘Where I am, you cannot come’?”
Rivers of Living Water
On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me, and let the one who believes in me drink. As[i] the scripture has said, ‘Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water.’ ” Now he said this about the Spirit, which believers in him were to receive, for as yet there was no Spirit because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Division among the People
When they heard these words, some in the crowd said, “This is really the prophet.” Others said, “This is the Messiah.”
