11 Years and Counting!

We are coming off of a wonderful week in the garden. Last weekend between Saturday's Open Garden featuring "Art in the Garden," Sunday's community Art tour showcasing our mural sized art work in progress, and the Annual Interfaith Earth day with the San Pedro Faith Consortium we welcomed 150 people to our outdoor sanctuary. It is such a gift to be part of the greater San Pedro Community.

Tomorrow (Friday 5/1) marks 11 years since Rev. Anna and a handful of volunteers unlocked the gates and began preparing a once vacant lot (pictured above) to become the vibrant outdoor sanctuary and home of the Garden Church we all know and love. From then to now the Garden Church has been a place of community, meaning, mourning, celebration, connection and most of all feeding and being fed in Body, Mind and Spirit. We are continuing to grow in faith and connection each time our gates are open.

This Sunday our Sunday Rhythm will include a celebration of our 11 years making church together, and our quarterly community meeting. Our quarterly community meetings offer an opportunity for membership in our church community. We hope you can join us in celebrating our 11th Anniversary.

In Christ,

Rev. Amanda

What We mean when We say All Are Welcome:

At The Garden Church we intentionally welcome all. We do this without requiring adherence to any religious belief or creed. We foster a climate of purposeful inclusion, an environment where all can feel safe, valued, cared for, and given an opportunity to form meaningful connections with the Divine and each other. We cherish the diversity of humanity, a diversity which includes differences in sex, age, race, ethnicity, and national origin, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial means, education, and political perspective.

We are also a member Congregation of the Pacific Coast Association of the Swedenborgian Church of North America
