Gifts for the Lord
After a quiet week in the garden between rain and a break for volunteers and staff, we are looking forward to being back on Sunday. This Sunday we're marking the end of the Christmas Season with the Holiday of Epiphany. This is the day in the church calendar when the Magi from the East followed the star to Bethlehem chronicled in the Gospel of Matthew.
The Magi brought three gifts to the Lord, we'll get a chance to reflect on the orgin and meaning off each gift during our worship together.
In the church we begin each new year with the season of Epiphany. This is a season centered on Jesus being recognized as the Messiah, the one who would change the world. The task for us is to recognize all the places Jesus is showing up in our world.
We hope to See you Sunday and in the New Year.
In Faith,
Rev. Amanda
